Advantages of the materials:
The thermosetting reinforced polyester with which they are made is the best insulating material on the market. Ideal even in the most aggressive environments.
Self-extinguishing material. If there is a fire, the flame will not spread. Polyester is thermoset and does not deform if there is overheating or fire. On the contrary, thermoplastics melt, deteriorate more easily and can spread the action of a flame.
Non-conductive material of electricity: Unlike metal boxes, there is no danger in handling and we do not run the risk of discharge.
Easy maintenance. They are ideal for outdoor use and perfectly withstand inclement weather in aggressive environments thanks to the fact that their material is non-hygroscopic and protected against UV rays, which allows optimal operation from + 80Âş to -30Âş.

Empty Cabinets for low voltage switchgear. General requirements
This international standard applies to empty cabinets, before the user incorporates the board, as supplied by the manufacturer. This standard specifies definitions, classifications, characteristics and general test requirements for cabinets or waterproof junction boxes to be used as part of switchgear (for example, according to the IEC 61439 series of standards), where the rated voltage does not exceed 1 000 V alternating current or 1500 V in direct current and for general use indoors or outdoors. Note 1. Additional requirements may apply for bres pecific applications. Note 2. In the United States of America (USA), the "Type" cabinet designation is used in accordance with the NEMA 250 Standard. The NEMA type cabinet designation specifies additional environmental requirements for conditions such as corrosion, rust, freezing, oil and soft drinks. For this reason, IEC IP enclosure classification designations are used with an appropriate enclosure type designation number for these markets. This international standard does not apply to electrical safy box and enclosures that are covered by other specific product standards (for example, the IEC 60670 series of standards). Compliance with the safety requirements of the applicable product standard is the responsibility of the polyester enclosures manufacturer of the final assembly. Note 3. This standard can serve as a basis for other technical committees.
